Helo, my name is Ade. All the way to the west from Bandung, there is a small town, Padalarang is the name of that town. In that small town, in September I was born. I spent my childhood in the same town.
Graduated from an Elementary School in 1991, SDN Parigi 2, spent 6 years to get passed from that School.
After finished my elementary school, I then got into the next higher level of education. I graduated from Junior High School in 1994, from SMP Negeri 1 Padalarang.
In 1994, I then got my Technical High School, STM Negeri Pembangunan Bandung. I got majoring in Industrial Instrumentation with Process Control disciplene. In the end of the 4-years education program, I finished my final project as a requirement of completion of this program. I took “Programmable Logic Controller Sysmac C40K Omron As A Controller With Proportional Mode in Level Control” as my final project. That was in 1998.
In 1998, after I graduated from the Technical High School, I then joined a Production Sharing Contract company, operated an oil field located offshore, Java Sea. I joined it as an Instrument Technician in a Power Generation Section. I handled all the instrumentation system of a 8 unit of Solar Taurus 60, the 4 Megawatt Gas Turbine driven Generator Sets, 4 Mycom and 1 DresserRand PLC-controlled gas compressor unit and the other supporting equipment.
In 2004, in order to develop my career and technical skill, I then joined a Technical Assistance Contract Company, operated gas fied, located onshore at Cikarang Bekasi. I joined this company as an Instrument and Control System Technician. I handled all the instrumentation and automation/control system of a 20 MMSCFD gas processing facilities. Including Wellhead, Test and Production Manifold, Test and Production Separator, Booster Compressor, Tryethilene Glycol Dehydration Unit, Custody Transfer Meter, Degasser Unit, Power Gen System, UPS, and the other supporting equipment.
As a human being that need to growth, on April 2007 I decided to join another Production Sharing Contract company. It is located offshore, in Natuna Sea. And again, I am still an instrument guy. I join this company as an Instrument Technician who is taking care of all instrument and automation system. Including packaged equipment such as turbomachinary control system, metering system, welhead control panel both subsea and surface wellhead control panel. In this company, I normally deal with pressure transmitter, level transmitter (DP, ultrasonic, radar, etc), flow transmitter (coriolis, DP, ultrasonic, etc), temperature transmitter, PLC (Allen Bradley), Honeywell Process Control System (Experion PKS R211, Fail Safe Controller), Fire and gas system (gas, heat, flame, smoke detection system and control implementation), etc. Also still dealing with penumatic system (oh… I love pneumatic!!!) Until now, I am still working for this company…
I have involved in a project with Mr. Rhys Fastiggi (Remote Control Corp.) several times. I got involved in the PSA valve rebuilding project. It was a great moment to learn anything, especially in instrumentation stuff.
In 1999, I tried to get my degree in Physical Instrumentation in one of University in Cimahi, but I failed to finish this level. You can guess the reason, yes, because I had to get my degree and in the other side, I had to work. A year after registered, I decided to stop it.
In 2002, Considering my education background, technical high school was not enough to get into the higher level of my career. I then got more realistic. I decided to get Diplome other than Degree. I successfully done my diploma in 2005. I took “Design and Implementation of PLC and HMI in The Automation System” as my final project.
I will never stop to learn about anything. Learning By Doing is a good method to learn anything.
